A 2-arm, preclinical animal study was designed to compare OSSIX Bone (OB) to Bio-Oss® Collagen (BOC) blocks.
At 6 months, OSSIX Bone also showed no particle migration, as opposed to BOC, which showed migration in 12 out of 19 animals.1

In a preclinical study of mandibular premolar extraction, sites treated with OSSIX Bone had a larger overall ridge width at 24 weeks compared with BOC blocks.1
OSSIX Bone must not be used with:
- Patients with vascular impairment at the implant site
- Patients with uncontrolled periodontal disease
